Location: Oakland, CA (PCV has office space in Oakland where teams
coordinate to intentionally meet in person in the Oakland office
once a week.)
Reports to: Director of Finance
Salary Range $90,000 and $100,000 with generous benefits:

our communities. We are seeking a Senior Accountant for PCV.

businesses, help them create good jobs for working people, and make

"Good Jobs, Good Business" model that combines affordable loans
with pro-bono advising, small grants, and tools and incentives to
create dignified good jobs. In 2023, 94% of PCV's loan capital
supported women and/or BIPOC-owned businesses, and 87% supported
small businesses located in economically distressed areas.
Position Overview
The Senior Accountant performs complex and routine accounting
transactions, prepares analysis, reports, schedules, and
reconciliations. As a growing organization, we have unique problems
to solve on an ongoing basis. This is a wonderful opportunity for

and has excellent problem-solving skills. -
Managerial Accounting
- - - - - - - Manage all accounting activities through the PCV
accounting cycle. Ensure general ledger account analyses and
reconciliations and perform bank reconciliations. Conduct internal
audits and ensure identified findings or errors are
corrected.
- - - - - - - Assist with annual external audit, including
preparation of audit request items and schedules.
- - - - - - - Develop and implement training of business processes
and accounting policies across all staff levels.
Grants Management
- - - - - - - Manage grant reporting, compliance with donor
requirements and conditions, recognition of PCV's revenue, and
conditional grants that are kept off-balance sheet.
- - - - - - - Liaise with program and development staff to ensure
that grants are utilized in accordance with grant restrictions or
conditions, or to request appropriate modifications when deviations
from grant budgets are identified. Manage grant allocations; ensure
that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant budgets
throughout the grant/fund; and ensure the proper accounting coding
of grant expenditures.
- - - - - - - Manage the accuracy and reliability of revenue
reporting by reconciling accounts receivable and liability accounts
related to revenue.
- - - - - - - Manage net assets for the organization, performing
activities in alignment with accounting closing deadlines and
impacts on releasing net assets.
Lending Portfolio Management
- - - - - - - Manage the proper syncing of lending data from the
lending system to the accounting system.
- - - - - - - Manage compliance reporting, including monthly
performance reporting to loan participation programs and quarterly
reporting to capital providers.
Other
- - - - - - - Assist Finance Director in special projects on an as
needed basis.
- - - - - - - Complete assigned accounting operations
projects.Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Requirements
- - - - - - - At least (5) years' progressive professional work
experience in accounting or a related field in the non-profit
sector.
- - - - - - - At least (3) years' Loan accounting experience.
- - - - - - - Direct experience with a Community Development
Financial Institution (CDFI) is highly desirable.
- - - - - - - Experience managing the implementation of new
accounting systems and procedures.
- - - - - - - Minimum Education: -BA or BS in Accounting, Business
Administration, or another related field.
- - - - - - - Pass a background check at the time of offer.
- - - - - - - CPA required.

Job Specific Competencies
- - - - - - - Accounting Principles: -solid understanding of
accounting principles and experience in grants management
- - - - - - - Software: -Fluency with QuickBooks and Excel is
required. Knowledge of Downhome is preferable. -
Location/Travel
This position will be based at our headquarters in Oakland
long-term.Compensation details: 90000-100000 Yearly
