Job Description:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply
chain management, business administration, a related field, or
equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in
sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on
semiconductors. 8 years of experience interfacing with and
establishing relationships with senior management for suppliers and
customers. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in
engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a
related field. Knowledge of the custom silicon landscape, including
silicon processes, packaging technologies, IP, manufacturing, and
software/application layers. Knowledge of semiconductor
manufacturing processes and quality standards. Excellent analytical
skills, with the ability to interpret market data, manage budgets,
and perform cost modeling. About the job Commodity Managers work
with Engineering teams to make sure Google has the supplies and
equipment to put into production the innovative products coming
from our Engineering teams. As a Commodity Manager, you use your
wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to
optimize our total cost of ownership for our global and growing
infrastructure. The scale at which Google operates means that
savings on just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on
Google's bottom line. As the Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will
be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for
Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) spanning ML,
networking, and CPU products. You will drive next-generation
technologies, ensure a stable supply of high-quality components,
and support the company's product development and manufacturing

this full-time position is $189,000-$274,000 bonus equity benefits.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and
additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and

Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive global
sourcing strategies for custom silicon, aligning with overall
business objectives. Identify and qualify potential suppliers by
conducting thorough due diligence and risk assessments. Negotiate
contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms
and conditions. Establish and maintain relationships with key
suppliers, fostering collaboration and open communication. Drive
the ASIC lifecycle, providing input on architecture definition,
business negotiations/awards, execution, New Product Introduction
(NPI)/production ramp, and End of Life (EOL).
