Job Description Job Description Salary: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour Position Summary: This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems for solar photovoltaic (PV) installations. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. Required Qualifications: Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification. 3 years of experience in electrical installations, preferably in the solar industry. Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Ability to Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Valid and insurable driver's license Ability to bend and mount conduit. Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed. Desired Qualifications: Experience leading and running commercial installation jobs. Understanding of experience labor tracking and planning. OSHA 30 certified Familiar with safety regulation and training requirements of the industry Essential Functions and Responsibilities Install electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices for solar PV systems. Lead the installation of electrical systems that interconnect solar systems to the grid. Perform voltage testing, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of solar PV systems. Ensure all electrical work complies with local and national electrical codes. Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely project completion. Train and mentor apprentices and junior electricians. The individual will be exposed to weather and elements while on rooftops. Use of vision abilities include, close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Employee will need to climb various ladder types (extension, A-frame, etc.). Work Environment: While performing some duties of this position, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions at that time. This position will be required to travel out of town on occasion as project or departmental needs require.
