Electrical Engineer responsible for calibrating and testing a
next-generation phased array antenna for satellite communications.
As an antenna test engineer at Farcast, you will be responsible for
calibrating and testing an array, including measuring S-parameters,
radiation patterns, EIRP, and G/T. In this role, you’ll work with a
multi-disciplinary team including RF, mechanical, electrical, and
software engineers to deliver test plans, understand design
trade-offs, and fully characterize the system’s radiated
performance. The ideal candidate has a background in antenna
measurements and strong knowledge of implementing scripting for
automation. Responsibilities Execute test procedures for active
antenna systems. Automate testing processes using scripting
(Python). Interface with lab equipment using SCPI commands Operate
and maintain specialized test equipment, including antenna
chambers, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers. Collaborate
with design teams (hardware and software) for test execution and
design validation. Required Experience Hands-on experience
executing test procedures for antenna systems Experience automating
test workflows using scripting languages, preferably Python, for
data collection, test control, and result analysis. Proficiency in
interfacing with laboratory instruments via SCPI commands,
including command sequencing, error handling, and data retrieval.
Direct experience operating RF test equipment, such as: Antenna
chambers, Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum analyzers, and signal
generators Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with hardware
and software engineering teamsto support test execution, debug
failures, and validate design performance against requirements.
Experience documenting test procedures, results, and anomalies,
with the ability to clearly communicate findings to engineering
stakeholders. Education BS in Electrical Engineering or similar

Base Salary Final compensation package will include a competitive
