Director of Perioperative Services/Schoolfield, VA Required Qualification A graduate of an approved school in skill-set/specialty/discipline. Meeting the requirements for registry and/or licensure in the state of employment.

State License as a professional in a specific area of expertise and education/pending or active will be considered. Registered with the state licensure requirements. Required. Experience in specialty applies to. The Director of Surgical Services has direct line authority for the Operating Rooms, Pre-Op Services, Same Day Surgery Unit, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and the hospital's Central Sterilization service. There are roughly 60 staff within the areas of responsibility. The department includes 11 operational ORs and typically runs 4-6 rooms daily which perform between 350 and 450 cases per month across a range of surgical specialties. The director serves as the primary liaison with the contracted anesthesia service, performing quality oversight and coordination with the service as well as the primary liaison with the Surgical Executive Committee which is responsible for medical oversight of surgical practice within the hospital.
