Director of Slot Operations (Caesars Virginia)Job Description KEY JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Lead an organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.
  • Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks.
  • Champion, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior.
  • Maintains working knowledge of all local jurisdictional gaming laws (federal, state, and local) and attendant regulations as well as company internal controls.
  • Responsible for overall department budgets, profit and loss statements, cost analysis, labor analysis, planning and promotions.
  • Provides outstanding service when interacting with our guests.
  • Oversees and directs the day-to-day operating activities of Slot Operations and Slot Performance, including the management of each of the department's operating budgets.
  • Establishes and administers procedures pertaining to the proper coordination of all operating activities relating to slot operations and slot products, with special emphasis on revenue generating activities, guest service, training of employees, and regulatory compliance.
  • Determines manpower requirements and establishes/approves shift schedules to provide maximum service to patrons, consistent with operational or seasonal demands.
  • Administers the organization and activities required to construct new types of slot machines and accessory devices, such as cases, electronic and electrical equipment.
  • Designs and recommends new types of cases, machines and parts, and may prepare preliminary rough sketches or drawings of such devices.
  • Establishes and administers safety policies and procedures and assures adherence to these policies and procedures.
  • Sets performance expectations and provides coaching, career development planning and operational support for all direct reports.
  • Meets individually with direct reports periodically to discuss career goals, identify skills needed to achieve goals and from those discussions, creates meaningful development plans to strengthen talent and expertise.
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: -
    • Minimum: college degree from an accredited university, with an M.B.A. preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years progressive management responsibilities, preferably in the Slot Department. QUALIFICATIONS:
      • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
      • Proven communication and interpersonal skills
      • Must be guest oriented
      • Must be able to step outside paradigms to be creative and innovative to increase guest loyalty and bring in new guests.
      • Must be able to obtain a required Gaming Key License. PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
        • Fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint.
        • Must be able to handle a heavy business volume, and sensitive situations relating to team member and guest problems, in a timely manner.
        • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives. -
        • Respond to visual and aural cues.
        • Must have manual dexterity to operate all office equipment.
        • Must be able to recognize and respond to individuals with questions.
        • Must be able to maneuver around office and property.
        • Must be able to work independently.
        • Must be able to lift and carry 10 pounds.
        • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, twist and work at a desk/counter when performing functions of the job.
