Responsibilities - Work in the Emergency Room of a hospital setting - Rotating 12-hour evening and night shifts, including 1p-1a, 3p-3a, 5p-5a, and 7p-7a - Assigned to all listed shift start times throughout the contract - Fast-paced department with a daily census of 190-200 patients and high turnover rate - Nurses may hold inpatient admissions and triage ambulance patients at the bedside - Uses EPIC electronic medical record system - Critical thinking and ability to perform in a fast-paced ER environment are essential - Patient care and nursing excellence are major priorities with a focus on patient experience - Patient population is generally well-educated and vocal about care standards - Some trauma and pediatric experience is strongly preferred - CEN and TNCC certifications, and 3-5 years of ER experience are strongly preferred - Travelers are responsible for triaging ambulance patients and may hold patients awaiting admission Requirements - Active CA RN license required - Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) or ENPC certifications - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required - Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience and previous ER travel assignment required - Must have EPIC experience, and work history must show where EPIC was used - Superior clinical references from recent employment with at least one from a nurse manager or director - Complete employment history for the past 7 years including facility names, specialties, and dates - Current ER skills checklist dated within one year Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-669035.
