Job Description:
Location: San Francisco Bay Area / San Jose Region Work Model:
Hybrid (Remote On-Site Visits). Must be willing to commute between
multiple client sites. Compensation: $75,000–$95,000 annually full
benefits (dependent on experience, location, and job-related
factors) Setting: Industrial / Warehouse The Occupational Health
and Safety Specialist (OHS) play a key role in supporting employee
health, safety, and performance across multiple worksites. You will
provide OSHA-compliant first aid, early discomfort intervention,
ergonomic assessments, and injury-prevention coaching to help
employees improve body mechanics, reduce musculoskeletal strain,
and optimize safe movement patterns on the job. This is a hands-on,
proactive, and relationship-driven role focused on keeping
industrial athletes and working athletes safe, healthy, and
productive. This role is ideal for professionals with backgrounds
in industrial medicine, athletic training, industrial sports
medicine, ergonomics, occupational health, physical therapy, or
exercise science. You’ll work directly with employees to help them
optimize body mechanics, build physical resilience, and reduce the
risk of work-related injuries through hands-on guidance and
observation. Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN) has delivered
worksite health, industrial ergonomics, and employee
injury-prevention services for more than 20 years. Many members of
our ergonomics and occupational health team have been with PRN for
10 years. This role supports one of our clients in the Northern
California Bay Area and requires local travel between client sites.

Provide onsite first-aid care and early discomfort management.
Conduct screenings and address musculoskeletal discomfort. Deliver
injury-prevention education focused on ergonomics, body mechanics,
and industrial movement patterns Coach employees on proper lifting,
posture, and safe movement techniques Build strong relationships to
support overall occupational health & wellness Identify hazards and
mitigate risks to prevent workplace injuries Provide triage,
escalate care appropriately, and support injury reporting Perform
industrial ergonomic assessments and recommend workstation or
equipment adjustments. Develop job-specific warm-up, mobility, and
injury-prevention programs Maintain accurate documentation and
reporting Support general employee wellness, including fitness,
stress management & healthy work habits Travel between assigned
industrial and warehouse sites Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)
Knowledge of musculoskeletal injury prevention, evaluation, and
early intervention Strong understanding of ergonomics, body
mechanics, movement analysis, and workplace safety Ability to coach
proper posture, lifting techniques, and safe movement patterns
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse
workforces Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage
multiple priorities Ability to create, edit, and present written
materials and training content Proficiency in Microsoft Word,
Excel, Outlook, and ability to learn new software systems Ability
to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional
judgment Ability to gather data, compile information, and produce
accurate reports Ability to work independently, take initiative,
and problem-solve in real time Professional presence and strong
relationship-building skills with employees at all levels
Qualifications: Relevant experience in injury prevention,
industrial medicine, ergonomics, or occupational health Degree or
certification in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or a related
health field Preferred: certifications such as Athletic Trainer
Certified (ATC), Certified Strengthening and Conditioning
Specialist (CSCS), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), Certified
Personal Trainer (CPT), or similar Preferred: 2-3 years experience
in industrial work setting Certification in industrial ergonomics
and/or training by a qualified professional Preferred:
Certification from Worksite International, Oxford Research
Institute, Board of Certified Professional Ergonomics, Center for
Occupational and Environmental Health, Occupro, or similar Current
certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED Valid driver’s license and
reliable transportation Ability to travel locally between worksite
