Marriott International, a leader in global lodging with a presence in 139 countries, is seeking a dedicated Host or Hostess for the Ocean Terrace at our scenic coastal property. This role is pivotal in ensuring a memorable dining experience for guests by providing welcoming, timely, and professional service. The ideal candidate will embody our commitment to top-notch service, bringing both passion and expertise to the daily operations of our dining services. Greet guests warmly and manage the dining section's flow and waiting lines. Coordinate with the kitchen and dining staff to maintain service efficiency and guest satisfaction. Manage reservations and seating arrangements with attention to guest preferences. Provide guests with menu information and daily specials, answering any questions regarding food, beverages, and allergies. Monitor dining area cleanliness and setup, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist in setting up dining areas for special events and manage event-specific seating and service requirements. Collect and provide feedback from guests to management to enhance service quality. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems. Understanding of hygiene and sanitation regulations.
