Job Description:
Job Summary Responsible for the development of software
supporting the management, processing, and analysis of genomic
data. Provides support as a consultant and collaborator to
bioinformatics scientists and software engineering teams and as a
mentor to other engineers. Applications may include:
- Databases, data warehouses, and knowledgebases
- User-driven workflow and analysis systems
- Genomic data annotation and interpretation services
- Genomic data processing pipelines Job Duties
- Primarily responsible for writing and reviewing software code
for the management, processing, and analysis of genomic data.
- Codes independently with minimal oversight.
- Contributes to gathering requirements and implements software
solutions for maximizing the value of genomic data.
- Serves as a resource for bioinformatics expertise and
collaborates with bioinformatics scientists and others to translate
ideas into production software solutions.
- Collaborates with teammates to develop software following
modern software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices. Work
is typically performed in an office environment. Accountable for
satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all
