Role Summary:
The mechanical seals assembler will disassemble, clean, and reassemble mechanical seals as part of the repair process. Were a fast-paced small shop within a large company, with competitive pay, great benefits, and a high commitment to our employees personal safety. Were looking for an assembler who is reliable, with a quality and customer-focused mindset.
This is a first shift position from, 7am to 3:30pm, Mon Fri.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Use hand tools, such as wrenches.
Accurately read prints and pick parts to complete assembly.
Verify quality of finished work with precision measurement tools.
Read assembly prints and directions, and interpret data from optical flatness reports.
Enter data as needed to track process steps, parts, materials, and time.
High school diploma or GED
2+ years general mechanical experience, including experience in a manufacturing environment. Vocational training acceptable in lieu of experience. Additional experience highly valued.
Familiarity with blueprints and shop drawings.
Able to use hand tools
Basic understanding of inspection equipment, including micrometers and precision measurement tools
Able to work overtime and weekends on short notice.
Must communicate clearly, understand instructions, and read instructions in English
Have a basic computer aptitude to learn data entry systems, and to use Microsoft Word and Outlook
Able to stand for long periods of time, and frequently lift up to 25 lbs. Occasionally lift or push large, heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.). Must have a full range of hand and upper-body motion to work with tools and parts.
Preferred Experience / Skills: Preferred:
Forklift certification desirable.
