Job Description Job Description Title: Commercial Project Manager Reports to: Manager of Commercial Sales Role: A Commercial Project Manager (CPM) is tasked in maintaining relationships of S&G commercial accounts by overseeing commercial flooring projects from bid to completion while ensuring quality execution and profitability. A CPM works in a semi-independent setting and will need strong organization, time management, customer service and communication skills to meet prospect and client needs. While S&G employees enjoy a team atmosphere, each employee is responsible for their own performance and is expected to be a productive member of the team. Attitude: Commercial Project Managers conduct all work with professionalism, patience, congeniality and respect. This requires: a positive and confident demeanor; self-motivation and ambition; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high stress environment; clear and effective communications via phone and email; and strong rapport with customers, employees, installers, and vendors. Duties and Responsibilities: As an exempt employee, a CPM is required to maintain a regular schedule that is approved by their supervisor. CPM’s time spent is as follows: 50% Assist in developing competitive project bids 25% Develop, enhance, and maintain client relationships 10% Manage project schedules, on and off-site 10% Estimating/Takeoffs 5% Completing trainings and product knowledge. Expectations: Provide and maintain a valid CA driver’s license. Receive Fleet Management driving authorization and maintain a safe driving record. Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with Company policy. Perform light lifting and light to moderate physical activity, including but not limited to: loading and unloading samples, small material delivery, etc. Work from home time must be approved by supervisor. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Rollmaster and Floormaster. Be customer centric and solution-oriented. Demonstrate strong communication, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Remain confident and professional under pressure. Skills and Specifications: Effective time management, organization and multi-tasking skills. Strong presentation and communication skills, both writing and verbally. Must be prompt, dependable, and responsive to customer needs. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Strong team player and should work well under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills to assist customers, installers and co-workers. Detail oriented. Education and Qualifications: Proficient knowledge of commercial process including, flooring products and installation. Positive attitude and self-confidence when working with the public. Motivated, ambitious, with a high level of importance in landing sales Basic technology skills. Strong communication skills. High level of organization skills, time management skills, and ability to work efficiently in both an independent and team setting.
