This Northern California Hospital is actively interviewing for a Pharmacy Assistant Director to lead one of its most vital departments. The facility is part of a larger regional network committed to integrated, patient-centered care and operates under a mission-driven governance model. Recognized for clinical quality, it also serves as a regional destination for advanced procedures and wellness services.The Pharmacy Assistant Director reports to the Regional Director of Pharmacy Services, and serves as a key leader in day-to-day operations at this Hospital. The Assistant Director will provide direct management and supervision to a strong team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. This leader will collaborate closely with nursing leadership, quality improvement teams, and the medical staff to ensure coordination of the supply chain, compliance, and hospital administration.The Inpatient Assistant Director of Pharmacy Operations supports a busy hospital environment that has a strong emphasis on medication safety, regulatory compliance, and high-touch collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The team of 30 FTEs includes experienced clinical pharmacists, technicians, and support personnel working in a unit handling sterile compounding, formulary management, and unit-dose distribution across a variety of inpatient units and specialty service lines.The Assistant Director of Hospital Pharmacy provides clinical and operational oversight, ensuring safe and effective medication use throughout the hospital. Responsibilities include development of staff competencies, quality assurance initiatives, and supporting compliance with state and federal regulations. On the administrative side, this leader is involved in budgeting, inventory control, staffing, and policy development.
